The Foundation was organized and is operated exclusively for charitable and educational purposes by means of scholarships to medical, nursing and other allied health professionals; programs to encourage healthier personal and professional lifestyles for medical and health professionals and their families; educational programs of personal and professional natures for medical and health professions; fundraising to accomplish the purposes of the Foundation; and the promotion of volunteerism among medical and health professionals.
As we enter this New Year, please remember the IMS Foundation. Grants are wonderful, but so, too, are the smaller gifts. Please honor a colleague, help an uninsured Indianapolis worker find care or assist a deserving medical student with their education. The IMSF is involved in many activities, please help us support our community and profession.
Project Health and Project Diabetes are initiatives of the Indianapolis Medical Society Foundation to expand access to healthcare and diabetes treatment for low-income, uninsured residents of Indianapolis (Marion County) in partnership with volunteer physicians, hospitals, community clinics, the pharmaceutical industry and other providers in a system of coordinated, case managed, charity care. Project Health/Project Diabetes allows physicians to help their patients more completely.
Let the IMS Foundation help you ... help them.
The Indianapolis Medical Alliance is a pro-active physician spouse organization involved in initiatives to end violence; legislative concerns; and nursing, allied health and medical student scholarships. The organization also sponsors many other important activities.
