The Indianapolis Medical Society is pleased to offer members a new payer contracting resource. The Benchmark Database®, an online proprietary database of CPT® reimbursement fees, allows providers to confidentially and legally compare their managed care reimbursement rates to market averages.
The Benchmark Database®, developed by Praesentia Consultation LLC, benchmarks more than 450 CPT® codes against average negotiated rates in Indianapolis, five Ohio markets and two nearby Midwest cities. Results can be used in negotiations with health insurers, as a tool for physician recruitment and/or to analyze trends in reimbursement relative to an individual practice.
Pricing for IMS members is as little as $45 per month with a three-month minimum purchase, which is a 24 percent discount on the standard rate. Access to the service lets subscribers create reports benchmarking three managed care fee schedules. Practices can purchase additional credits to create reports or stay subscribed beyond the three months and receive additional credits each month.
Praesentia complies with the Federal Trade Commission's antitrust regulations, including confidentiality protections and assurance that the data represents a minimum number of practices in a geographic area.
